HISTORY OF SHEEHY AUTO STORES

In 1965, Sheehy Ford began as a small, suburban, family-owned car dealership just off the brand new Washington, D.C. Beltway. Because of you, the customer, we were immediately successful, and by 1975 had become the largest Ford dealership in the country.

Today, the company is still primarily family-owned and has grown to more than $900 million in sales with 30,000 vehicle sales per year. Our corporate name is Sheehy Auto Stores with stores located from Richmond, VA up to Baltimore, MD. Sheehy has 17 locations in the Mid-Atlantic region with 20 franchises. We are the largest retailer of Fords in the region and have the largest selection of new Fords. We sell 50% of all the Fords sold in the Richmond metro. We are one of the largest Nissan dealers in the Mid-Atlantic with 5 locations. Our other franchises include Honda, Chevrolet, Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Lexus, and Infiniti, all conveniently located. In addition to our exceptional employees, our success has been driven by our customers' response to our unique and innovative selling approach. In the 1970's we launched the 3-DAY MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE, a first-ever in the market. In 1991, we began the now-famous SHEEHY MARKDOWN to ensure that no customer ever pays too much for a vehicle at any of our stores. Every new car and truck is value-priced below the manufacturer's list price with a Sheehy Markdown sticker prominently displayed on the windshield.

The same philosophy carries over to our Sheehy Select used cars and trucks, where every vehicle is priced below Kelley Blue Book. Other elements of the Select package include the 3-DAY MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE and a 100-POINT INSPECTION. Only one-third of the cars we trade pass a rigorous inspection for resale.

Our value pricing also extends to our Service and Parts departments. They are dedicated to providing you with competitive pricing in a friendly, convenient setting. At many of our locations, we are opening Express service lanes to provide faster servicing of your vehicle.

In 2007, we launched the Sheehy VIP Club, dedicated to our best customers in sales and service. Among other benefits, as a member of the VIP club a customer receives free lifetime oil and filter changes, tire rotations, car washes and discounts on parts, service and the next vehicle purchase from any Sheehy store, from Ford to Lexus to Honda.

Our customer-centric approach has earned our stores some of the most prized awards in the industry. All of our Ford stores are Blue Oval Certified. Our Glen Burnie and Annapolis stores have earned Nissan's Owner First Award for our achievements in customer satisfaction. In addition, our Alexandria Honda dealership is a past President's award winner and the Mitsubishi franchise has won several Diamond Chapter of Excellence awards. These awards are only possible due to your glowing responses to our sales and service.
